Get to know the Elephant Nature Park

If your interest lies in eco-tourism, Elephant Nature Park is the best place for you. This is a safe haven for elephants which can be located in Northern Thailand. It is a rescue center for elephants that were rescued from malnutrition, neglect, injuries and torture. The sanctuary is as big as 150 acres and home to approximately 35 elephants throughout Thailand where you can also spend your time in the scenic surrounding and help out or assist in feeding them.

Founder of the Elephant Nature

ParkThe nature park was founded by Sangduen “Lek” Chailert with her husband Adam in 1996. Lek is a respected person who was featured as one of the Asia’s Heroes on the October 2005 issue of the Time Magazine where she was dubbed the “Thailand’s Elephant Woman” for her unselfish work and great contribution over the elephant’s welfare. Visiting the nature park is an experience you will never forget and regret.
